Hi. I’m Amanda Rothman, owner and CEO of Proactive Action.
But that’s enough about me. Who says that an About page is about me?
What is it that I can give you?
Well, for one thing, information on weighty issues like our Earth’s deteriorating natural resources that isn’t weighed down by guilt and avoidance.
That’s mainly because this isn’t a site for the purpose of wailing, moaning, and the gnashing of teeth.
This is a site for action.
It always got me a bit frustrated to see so many tragic things happen when they could be avoided. Let me tell you how we can avert these disasters.
Unfortunately since I’m not the most social of people (at least in person), I write about Mother Nature who at least is only an anthropomorphic person instead of a real one.
Fortunately, the solutions I’m coming up with can be a help to real people! Lots and lots of real people! Yay!
Oh, yeah, I forgot. So. You’re here.
Information. No guilt. Symptoms of Climate Change.
I’m starting this little adventure by looking at the symptoms and causes of flood and drought, and their consequences.
I’ve come up with a nifty little plan.
Well, not so little.
If adopted, this “little” plan could be used worldwide to treat little problems like, oh, flooding, drought, wildfires, melting glaciers, sea-level rise, and the promise of having enough water and more energy for the world.
My plan could save lives. It could help to stave off the worst symptoms of climate change, or at least help us to deal with them while the actual causes are worked on!
How? I explain the details of a water infrastructure that could create new jobs, new companies, new technologies, as well as take care of those little issues I listed earlier. It’s all in my book: Treat Climate Change, Save The Earth: How to Prevent Flooding and Drought to Slow Global Warming
If you’ve found this website and have gone so far as to look for my About page, I’m hoping that means that you share my interest and concern in the rather alarming turns our weather has been taking recently.
If so, I hope you’re motivated to sign up for my newsletter. Along with a preview of the introduction to my book, it’s going to be filled with information about contests, news about my audiobook promotions, and who knows? Maybe news about how I was invited to accompany President Obama to the Climate Change Summit that was held in Paris, France in 2016.
That didn’t happen, but I can still hope for future Summits!
In the meantime, browse around the site, enjoy what I have to offer. I’d love to become a trusted source of information about these natural phenomena, gathered and compiled with my humble commentary.
Also, feel free to join me on Facebook and Twitter where I share helpful articles and news!
